Kimono Top

Someday, I'll get back to posting regularly and checking other people's blogs as well. For now, I've actually finished a project or two. I've finally finished the Kimono Top:

I'm extremely happy with the finished product, not so much with the finished pictures. (You may recognize the pin. It's from Designs by Romi. Her stuff is so beautiful.)
The specs:
Pattern: Kimono Top from Knit so Fine
Yarn: Madil Eden 100% bamboo in blue
Needles: size 4
Notes: I had to adjust the pattern a bit for one of the fronts. If you do the pattern for the left front for the 36" bust as written (not sure about the other sizes), it will sag too much on the edge to be sewn to the back. It starts out with a knit 5. Since the butterfly stitch relies on slip stitches which draws the rest of the pattern up, the knit 5 at the beginning of the pattern is just too much and allows it to sag. Instead knit 1, then start the butterfly stitch patterns. I also went up one size for the sleeves to give myself more room in the shoulder/underarm area. Since it was a drop shoulder, it was an easy adjustment. One more adjustment I made after the picture was made was to add ties on the inside (made with my handy lucet) so that the inside flap won't sag below the top flap.

I also finally finished a little knitted bag:

(Technically, it had been done for a while except for the little drawstrings which I knocked out rather quickly on my lucet.)

And my new project is Delpine (Ravel It) from French Girl Knits:

I've been having issues with pictures and my new computer recently which is part of the reason I've been slack about blogging. That and I have no free time anymore. Very little anyway. I'll try to be better.
