Still here

Yes, believe it or not, I'm still here! I've just been incredibly busy with life and such. I blinked and nearly a month passed. Then I've been trying to get pictures of my current projects (yes, I actually have been working a little), but we haven't had a sunny day in a week or two. It's still not sunny, but I managed to get a fairly decent shot of one of my projects. (Now, let's see if I can remember how to upload it, it's been so long.)

So what have I been working on? I've started the Magickal Earth Shawl from Gathering of Lace. It's a big square with Celtic knots, unicorns and other neat stuff. Here's the edging:

You make the edging first, graft it together, then pick up an ungodly number of stitches. The good thing is that since you're working it inward, it does get smaller and smaller. The bad thing: I'm making it with Zephyr Wool/silk in Pewter on size 2s and I only have about two feet of the edging done. Needless to say, it's going to take a while.

I've also been working on some socks. I have one very nice one finished for me in Trekking and one almost finished for my husband (one of each, not one pair each), but both are in dark colors and I couldn't get a decent picture today. So, I'll have to save those for another day. I promise to try and be less of a stranger!
