Stole and sock progress
First of all, I finished Book 7 and I refuse to give away anything because that's why I read it so very fast, so I wouldn't find out what happened from anyone else. So I will request that no one give away anything in the comments either, but if you want to discuss feel free to email me at either the addy in the sidebar or my verizon email if you have it. I will say only that several of my guesses about what was going to happen were right, but I've never made the guesses on the blog.
As for pictures, progress of the stole:
I can't seem to get a decent picture of the stole. It's just two diamond patterns away from the edging and I hope to get to that this week. Meanwhile, sock progress has slowed. I only have the cuff and beginnings of a heel for one sock since the last pair:
The yarn is Sockotta. Maybe now that I'm back and I've finished Harry Potter, I'll get back to my regular knitting. Oh, yeah, there is Oblivion which I've finally got my hands on...

I've been trying to savor the book but it's getting harder and harder to put down. I've only got about 250 pages left now.
I couldn't help myself. Tore right through it. Later I'll go back and savor... I just didn't have the willpower to stretch it out the first time. ;-)
I missed the Amazon ordering cutoff for delivery on Saturday, meaning that my copy won't arrive until WEDNESDAY! Actually, that's okay as long as I can continue to avoid spoilers. I am still only halfway through Book 6 (long story involving losing my unread copy of Book 5 somewhere in my apartment and having to buy a new one).
I'm doing Hogwarts Sock Swap TWO and have a cool Slytherin college student as my partner (I'm Ravenclaw).
Stole = lovely. I'm working on Mystery Stole 3 in black Misti Alpaca laceweight with red beads. Gorgeousness. I've had the black forever, because I need/want a basic black fancy wrap.
Your stole is looking fantastic! I wish I was a far along on mine!
I'm also loving the leg on those soon to be socks of yours!
i'm trying to savor book 7 but, like carole, i'm finding it harder and harder to put it down.
the stole is beautiful! i love that purple. i know that it's hard to photograph that colour well. so i imagine it's even more vibrant in person.
Thank you for no spoilers!! I can keep reading you, too. ;)
That stole is gorgeous and reaffirms my plan to do the Mystery Stole in purple Zephyr.
The stole is really beautiful!
My DH always orders the HP books from England, so we don't even have our copy yet.
The stole looks lovely, and huge.
Wow, you are a fast reader! I used to read that fast when I was a wee one, but not so much anymore.
I haven't even bought book seven yet! I'm still sticking to my plan of reading 1-6 again before I start seven. If only I could find my copy of book one.
How exciting -- the stole is almost done! Cool sock! I hope you enjoyed book 7 (I did)!
The stole looks beautiful so far!
I'm now listening to the book which is forcing me to pay attention and not rush - I'm sure I missed a few things the first time around!
